About Us
Our boards are a complete throwback to the 70s & 80s where plastic cruiser skateboards were mainstreamed by barefoot skateboarders in California & Hawai’i. When the waves were flat, surfers took to the streets on their mini cruiser boards, slashing away concrete in substitution for glassy waves.
Now you can bring back those retro cruisers for an awesome price with more customized options than ever before!
Papa Huila is a Hawaii-based company started by two childhood friends whose love for skateboarding has taken them on a journey to share high quality, LED-flared skateboards with the world. The company’s name is derived from the Hawaiian translation of the word “skateboard”: papa meaning “board” and huila being “wheel.”
Skateboarding, ever since its conception, has been a source of outlet for its riders; whether it be cruising around the neighborhood or expressing their inner creativity through tricks/maneuvers. Papa Huila encompasses that positive nature of enjoying the surrounding environment and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, all while promoting an eco-friendly method of transportation.
